I have been in the childcare environment for 20 years caring for children from birth to 5 years and working in partnership with parents. The ethos of the nursery is to provide a safe, stimulating environment where each child develops to his/her full potential. All activities provided are varied and children explore by imitating, having sensory experiences and through hands on play. This gives each child a head start with their learning development. We link our practice to the theorists Piaget and Steiner who have proven research that “children should be encouraged to play and develop with free-flow activities and with a wide range of natural and sensory experiences.”     We understand your children are the most important people in your life and we will care for them working alongside parents to provide for their individual needs. We have a parents’ forum where a group of parents meet together to decide what they would like the nursery to provide and to get involved in their child’s learning. Great consideration is given to the planning of indoor and outdoor facilities to ensure your child gets the most out of their time at Little Peoples. We work towards the early years foundation stage, which covers all stages of development from birth to 5 years. We also link our learning through play to Every Child Matters and the outcomes that each child has a right to be given.
